We're Hiring: Service Advisor in Vancouver
Granville & Avery Automotive is hiring a full-time Service Advisor. We're a family-owned, independent repair shop on Osler Street in Marpole. We've been here since 1988 and we're BCAA approved.
What the job is
You're the main face of the shop. You look after customers from the first call until they get their keys back. You're the bridge between customers and our technicians, and you explain what's wrong with a car and how we'll fix it in plain English, with no jargon, no pressure and no surprises on the invoice. You'll work closely with the owners and the techs.
Day to day, you'll:
- greet customers, listen to their concerns and document them
- book appointments and write work orders in AutoLeap
- order parts
- send inspection findings so customers can approve or decline the work
- give honest timelines
- walk customers through the work at pickup
- look for ways to make the shop run smoother, including with AI tools where they help
Who we're looking for
You either have service advisor experience, or strong customer service experience plus hands-on automotive repair experience. You're very comfortable on a computer, and AutoLeap experience is a big plus. You're warm, organized, and able to juggle several customers at once. If you're a car enthusiast who enjoys car talk with customers, even better. You'll need a valid BC driver's licence with a clean record and to already be authorized to work in Canada.
The details
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with a one-hour lunch
- Pay discussed at interview
- No weekends, and closed on public holidays
